DataRecovery.Lab is the data recovery laboratory of JACF - Sistemas Informáticos Lda, in Carcavelos, with more than 30 years of experience. It is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022, audited every year, and has an ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom and a success rate of 98.40% in 2025. We are the only data recovery laboratory certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 in Portugal.

Quality and security certification
DataRecovery.Lab holds dual certification of its Quality and Information Security Management System: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022, granted by Quality Evaluation Center and audited every year. The certification covers data recovery, computer repair and maintenance (hardware and software) and forensic analysis.

Since then, we have developed our own tools and procedures for hard drives, SSDs, RAID and NAS, USB sticks and memory cards. Many of our customers and partners have worked with us for several years.

Is DataRecovery.Lab certified?
Yes. It holds ISO 9001:2015 (quality management) and ISO 27001:2022 (information security) certification, granted by Quality Evaluation Center and audited every year. We are the only data recovery laboratory certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 in Portugal.
What does ISO 27001 guarantee the customer?
That information security follows a management system verified by an external audit every year. In practice, customers’ devices and data stay in our laboratory, and the copy of the recovered data is kept for 7 days after delivery and deleted afterwards.
Who is behind DataRecovery.Lab?
JACF - Sistemas Informáticos Lda, founded in 1994 in the field of computer maintenance. It has been recovering data since 2004 and registered the DataRecovery.Lab trademark in 2007, with a laboratory dedicated solely to data recovery.
Where is the laboratory?
In Carcavelos, at Estrada da Rebelva, n.º 1258, Loja A/B. All the work is done in our laboratory, in Portugal.
What is the success rate?
98.40% in 2025, across all services, measured and audited every year.
What is an ISO 5 cleanroom?
A room with filtered air and controlled particles (Class 100), where hard drives are opened to replace the heads without contaminating the platters where the data is stored.
