How much does data recovery cost?
It depends on the device and the type of fault: for hard drives and SSDs, from 100 EUR + VAT for logical faults; the prices for each level are published on the prices page. The exact amount is in the final quote, which you receive after the diagnosis, and you can pay in up to 4 interest-free instalments.
How long does it take?
The diagnosis is done in 2 hours for hard drives and SSDs (12 hours for USB sticks and memory cards), in order of arrival and within opening hours. The recovery depends on the service you choose: 24 hours, urgent (1 to 3 working days), priority (4 to 7 working days), standard (8 to 12 working days) or no urgency (15 to 30 days), which is cheaper.
Is the collection really free?
Yes, in mainland Portugal, for hard drives, SSDs, RAID and NAS. USB sticks and memory cards can be sent with the courier of your choice or dropped off at the laboratory.
Do I have to pay for the diagnosis?
The Technical Diagnosis costs 30 EUR + VAT (36.90 EUR) per device and is only charged if you decline the quote or the Advanced Diagnosis, or if the device is so damaged that no quote is possible; return shipping costs are separate. In some cases an Advanced Diagnosis is needed, at a cost that is always stated beforehand.
What if I accept the quote and then there is no recovery?
You pay nothing for the recovery service or anything else; return shipping costs are separate. In some cases an initial amount is requested before work starts, always stated in the quote: it is deducted from the price if the recovery succeeds and, if it does not, it covers the attempt and is not refunded. If you accept and do not pay the initial amount within 5 working days, the device goes into storage, at a cost of 1 EUR + VAT per day, up to a maximum of 60 days. After that period, the device is recycled free of charge and the storage remains payable.
Which devices do you recover?
Internal and external hard drives (HDD), SSDs, RAID and NAS, USB sticks, memory cards and Mac computer drives, of all brands, as well as deleted files and ransomware attacks.
Is my data safe?
The laboratory is ISO 27001:2022 certified for information security and audited every year. The copy of the recovered data is kept for 7 days after delivery and then deleted.
Can I drop off the device in person?
Yes, at the laboratory in Carcavelos (Estrada da Rebelva, n.º 1258, Loja A/B), Monday to Friday, except public holidays, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00. Please fill in the online request first.
